Men’s sneakers, with lace aso oke, a handwoven Nigerian fabric.
Tesfa is the Amharic (Ethiopian) word for hope. The Ethiopians have their own fonts and how they write. Our new collection is named Tesfa (Hope) based on the happenings of 2020 and how the entire world ‘hopes’ for a grand resurrection.
The pattern woven onto the fabric, is a deconstruction of the Amharic spelling of Tesfa, into an Adinkra symbol called “Duafe “ (wooden comb) which symbolizes beauty, cleanliness, desirability, love and care. These and more we “hope” for going forward.
Available in a variety of colours.
As with all our sneakers, the best care is to hand wash using a cloth to lather the foam. Scrub lightly but deep into the fabric and then dry outdoors. For light cleaning, sprinkle some water and brush lightly with a sof
