jazz contemplation

Apart from jazz being one of the music ensembles, and for entertainment, there is a philosophical aspect which needs to be highlighted.

Jazz speaks for life (King 1964). Jazz ensemble is democracy in action; participatory,  inclusive, challenging, competitive and collective (Wynton Marsalis). In jazz performance,  everyone gets the opportunity to play something regardless of their experience or role in the  band. Jazz teaches us that everyone’s voice is equal. Everyone deserves a chance to share  their opinion and it has equal value to that of someone else’ (Veartstra 2016) 

Jazz represents a great amount of freedom and justness.
