Queen of Art (QoA) is a 100% Black female owned art curatorial agency founded over 10 years ago by Hlubi Shezi out of a deep desire to improve the lives of South Africa's emerging artists through the commercialization of their works. The agency plugs emerging artists into its network of art enthusiasts and collectors through its exhibitions. QoA also offers art on consignment to leading hotels and restaurants. This consignment installation model allows hotel and restaurant patrons to “buy art off the walls”. Additionally QoA has developed a facility that allows residential and business clients to rent artworks on a monthly basis at the fraction of the artwork's price. This rental model provides a steady source of income that enables an artist to ‘keep creating’.
