Richard Izege has always known that he was destined to be an artist. Drawing on inspiration from his life, his artwork touches on themes of culture, human connection and everyday life as he captures the magic that he sees in the mundane.

As a result, his style, themes, patterns and motifs unapologetically reflects African culture.

A professional visual artist, painter, cinematographer and creative photographer, Richard is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

He obtained formal education in Fine and Applied Arts from the prestigious Institute of Management and Technology Enugu and Yaba College of Technology, Lagos.
“For me art is one of the strongest ways to communicate whatsoever you want to talk about,” he says. “I am not complete without art.”
