MARKS AND CURVES was first registered as a business in 2014 by ONABIRHEKHANLEN AKHERE SANDRA, who wanted to give herself a long-time wish to be a fashion brand owner on her birthday. This wish was born out of childhood memories of being a twin and experimenting with bold looks and colors with her sister from their teenage years into adulthood. In her words ; 

“Each day, with our girly wardrobe combined with our mother’s flair for colorful accessories and timeless fabrics, it naturally became a flair to us as teenagers. “

As she advanced in her career, Akhere faced each day with a BOLD Or SUBTLE outfit that depicts her mood, drive, and purpose towards every situation.

Marks and Curves designs are based on TIMELESS VARIETY because Akhere wanted every woman or man to appreciate every style purchased as “GOLD” that lasts through time; Instead of a piece of clothing that can be discarded after a function. With this in mind, Akhere created a fusion of Unique African and Classic Western styles.
