Lucy Joseph Mwitula, Founder of Lucy Fashions, was born in Dodoma, the central part of the United Republic of Tanzania. She started her career as a Fashion Designer when she was sixteen. Her mother taught her different styles of tailoring. Apart from learning basic tailoring skills from her mother, she attended various seminars, workshops and fashion exhibitions thus expanding her fashion and entrepreneurial skills.  

After completing Ordinary Secondary Education (O-levels) at Central Secondary School, Dodoma, Tanzania, she started to engage in a tailoring career. Her dream is to mentor young fashion designers
