JZO was born out of a desire to stretch the boundaries of menswear, to break free from the rigid expectations of masculinity, to challenge what was permissible and what was not.

Joseph O. Ike and Ola Akindeinde started JZO to challenge these norms, with the source of their inspiration being the highly overlooked traditional Nigerian menswear. With this near inexhaustible source of materials, the two have spent the last number of years contemporizing traditional silhouettes in simple, elegant ways whilst introducing these distinct Nigerian textiles and dyeing techniques as Adire and Aso-oke to a new generation of the fashionable Nigerian men.

At the core of the brand is forward thinking design coupled with excellent tailoring of quality fabrics. JZO has also expanded to cater for specific needs such as evening wear, whilst remaining as a front runner in its core menswear apparel offering.
