My name is Sharon Wendo. Founder and Creative Director of Epica Jewellery. I started beading in 2015 although I only officially registered my business in 2018. I learnt beading skills while working as an intern on the Kenya Youth Empowerment Project. Initially, I didn't think it was going to be a viable career path as I was seeking other job opportunities, however, after 3 months as a School Receptionist, I realized that beading is where my true passion lies, that is how Epica Jewellery was established.

I am inspired by both African culture and modern fashion. My aim is to join those two worlds in my jewellery pieces. My designs are reflected in my brand name, they are ‘epic’ and ‘African’.
