Chepa Streetwear is an aspirational brand centred by the love of absolutely looking good. The name “Chepa” comes from the phrase “O Chepile” that is street slang in the vibrant townships of Pretoria, South Africa which means ‘’looking good.’’
Chepa’s aesthetic is inspired by ordinary stories from the townships. The brand’s unique ready to wear garments are deeply rooted in the street culture of South Africa’s townships.
Founded by Dumisani Mahlangu who is originally from Mamelodi, Chepa is a social enterprise with the community at its core; creating local jobs in addition to telling inspiring, unique local stories through his garments.
